Using Tryd

Tryd is a social tracking and discovery app for snacks and fast food. By creating an account, you agree to use Tryd in good faith — logging items you've actually tried, writing honest reviews, and interacting with other users respectfully.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Tryd. If you're under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.

Your content

Tryd is built on user-generated content — reviews, ratings, drop submissions, and profile information you provide. You own your content. By submitting it to Tryd, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, store, and distribute it within the platform.

You're responsible for what you post. Don't post content that is defamatory, misleading, or that infringes another party's intellectual property. Don't submit fake reviews or game the rating system.

We may remove content that violates these terms without notice.

Drop submissions

The drops catalog is crowdsourced. When you submit a drop, you're claiming that you've personally observed this item available for sale. Don't submit items you haven't seen firsthand, and don't submit the same item multiple times.

All drop submissions go through a moderation queue before going live. Tryd reserves the right to reject or modify any submission at our discretion. Approved submissions become part of the shared catalog.

Anonymized data and commercial use

Tryd's commercial model includes providing anonymized, aggregated behavioral insights to food brands and retailers. This means patterns in what items Tryd users log, rate, search for, and discover may be included in commercial research products.

By using Tryd, you consent to this use of your anonymized data unless you opt out in Settings. Opting out does not affect your access to the app.

No personally identifying information is shared with brands. This data product contains only statistical patterns — never individual user data.

Ratings and ELO scores

Ratings and ELO scores on Tryd are user-generated and reflect personal opinion. They are not endorsements by Tryd and should not be treated as objective quality assessments. Tryd is not responsible for purchasing decisions made based on scores shown in the app.

No brand submissions

Tryd does not accept paid listings, brand-submitted content, or sponsored drops. The catalog is 100% user-submitted and moderated by the Tryd team. Any attempt to submit items for commercial benefit will result in account suspension.

Account termination

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your personal data is deleted per our Privacy Policy, but your reviews and ratings may persist in anonymized form.

Liability

Tryd is provided "as is." We don't guarantee uptime, accuracy of catalog information, or that any specific item will be available near you. Tryd is not liable for any allergic reactions, dietary issues, or other harm arising from items logged or discovered through the platform — always check labels.
